Those who watched Bill Burns’ remarks last month couldn’t help but pick up on his taunting Russian “Special Services” (as Russia calls them).

His remarks (basically that the Ukraine/Russia war has been great for the CIA) highlights several recent and abysmal failures of the FSB and GRU:

1. GRU’s failed 2018 assassination attempt of Sergei Skripal in Salisbury, Britain (Skripal was a former GRU officer). This failure exposed several of its non-official cover agents and facilities living throughout Europe.

2. FSB’s failed 2020 assassination of Alexi Navalny in Germany (he later mocked them for spreading Novichok on his underwear).

3. FSB’s failed assessment of Ukrainian forces leading up to Russia’s invasion. Ukraine has surprised the world with their resistance. No one thought they would have beaten back Russia and/or the war would still be waging 2 years later. This is due largely to FSB’s bungling the preparations for invasion.

4. FSB also failed to prevent Western intelligence agencies from stealing and publishing Russia’s plans for invasion. Even Zelenskyy didn’t believe the US when we told him months before the invasion that Russia was going to attack.

5. Their failed (or unwilling) halt of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s mutiny.

As with the Cold War, Russian power is a myth. They deserve points for their propaganda arm that has garnered a surprising number of American citizen loyalists by capitalizing on our own political divides and falsely equating themselves with the right.

Based on these intelligence failures, it’s obvious soft power is the only reliable tool they have.

Ukraine is winning! The Ghost of Kiev is still flying sorties. Russia is running out of tanks.

The US underestimates all and everything Russian. The US war games were a joke and are all over the world where they use them. It begins with 'We are #1'. The other guys are lessers. In this case, the have no respect for Russia. The US thinks it beat the Nazis and it thinks it destroyed ISIS. So, they program in GI and they win with GO. But it doesn't work in real combat.

In real combat, the guys with the shovels and washing machine parts have destroyed a 1.5 million-man NATO-US proxy military. It was the best of the West and it had the highest motivation and strategic defenses planned and in place for eight years. All that has been ground to rust and dust by Gerasimov, Shoigu, the General Staff and the Russian MIC.

Ukraine never had a chance. Devising 'counteroffensives' in Washington and Brussels just added the perfect ingredient for their defeat. Hubris. It is the credo of the US hegemon. Vainglorious bravado and parade ground weapons, unfit for combat, untrained officer corps, triumphal special forces that never experienced artillery barrages like General Dvornikov unleashed on the Ukies from April 2022 for seven months are some of the deficits the war games never included.

Nothing changes in the West's fantastical thought process. They begin with the delusion that they are #1 and therefore all will fall in front of them in a brief clash. They failed to study the truth in Syria and the truth of Mariupol and what Generals Dvornikov and Surovikin had established for more than 16 months before their foolish NATO counteroffensive across wide open, flat killing fields, mined to the millions with impregnable defenses 60 km deep in triplicate.

Your perspective is based on the MSM narrative. I don't know much about the assassination attempts, but Salvany is dead now!

Understanding the back story of Russia's opposition to NATO expansion going back decades, the talk of Ukraine joining NATO, and massing troops and military equipment on Ukraines border... Any idiot knew they were going to invade. Didn't need an intelligence agency to figure that out.

Prigozhin event wasn't a munity! Lol There was no fighting. There was video of Prigozhins men talking and smoking cigarettes with Russian troops!

Russia hasn't advanced in Ukraine because they don't want to. Invading all of Ukraine was never the intention! Putin was clear about his intentions. Keep NATO off his border and take control of Eastern Ukraine and protect the Russians living there who were being persecuted by the Ukrainian Nazis.

Bill Burns is speaking the Biden narrative. Find better sources.

except they did and were defeated. You seem to forget Russia made it as close as 19 miles from Kiev in February 2022. On top of that captured plans revealed the intent to was to capture Kiev and as much of Ukraine as possible to bargain a quick end and annex as much or all of Ukraine as Putin could.

Putin Bois will have you believe all that wasted ammo, fuel, and lives before a massive retreat was just a masterful ruse in his 4-D chess. If so, he’s about as good a military strategist as Hitler.

The US failures also took the US to war, debt and a forever stained reputation.

9/11
Iraq
Syria
Afghanistan withdrawal
Estimate of Russia's demise due to sanctions.
Putin's health
Putin's being overthrown

The UK and the EU have de-industrialized and destroyed their economies based on US intelligence, what fools they are.

Seems like just yesterday we were told “The Taliban are no match for the US backed 300,000 man strong afghan army”.

Yet according the lying media, they were easily able to dupe Democrats with regard to Trump, Hunter Biden, and steal American elections. Hell, Hillary Clinton says they still are colluding!

Wonderful news. Doesn’t sound like they are that big a threat to our democracy after all.

So let’s start putting that money to our own border among other things and tending to business here at home.
