They really don't. It doesn't benefit anyone, sets both countries back, and most likely will accomplish little. We're not invading Russia and they aren't gonna invade the US. Both of which are logistical nightmares. We've been proxy warring with them for decades like this...

Watching the crown last night reminded me of that brief window in the 90s when we were friends and didn’t fear being vaporized. And they had everyone’s drunk uncle as president.

That’s what’s sad about that thread. They claim they want a thread free of politics to just discuss the war itself. But when you give an unbiased opinion, unless it’s 100% pro-Ukraine they can’t handle it. My post is a prime example. I gave five possible outcomes over the winter. Two lead to Ukrainian victory, two lead to Russian victory, and the other lead to a continuing war for the foreseeable future. That wasn’t good enough.

POTUS2024 registered here about six weeks ago and just so happens to be pro Russian with an entirely different take on the war.
We are indeed fortunate he popped in to set the record straight.
Well the war should be settled by Easter. The elite Russian forces have a good plan now and since Ukraine is spent things should go quickly now. It’s all but over.

Seriously, I believe you covered it well.
I think your 1 will happen except Ukraine won’t get a decisive win and Russia won’t agree to a peace treaty dragging things on.

If only Russia had air superiority so they could use these effectively. As it is, they have to remain behind the Russian lines because if they get too close to the front they get shot down.

Note Frog Foot is the Five Eye's AFIC codename for the Su-25 the Russians call it the Grach meaning Rook. These NATO reporting names start with the first letter of the general classification so all fighters start with F, all bombers with B, and all cargo planes with C. The old MiG-15 codename always made me laugh: Fagot.
