Here are Rush’s comments about Donovan McNabb in 2003
Replace McNabb with Simone Biles. The media had a huge desire to make her the greatest of all time because of what she looks like. But she proved she didn’t have what it takes.

The comparison is correct insofar as the rush to protect her from criticism or scrutiny, but Biles was (is?) a great gymnast.

I’m not comparing her skill level relative to her sport to McNabb’s. I’m comparing what the media tried to make her. Like what the media tried to make McNabb.

Correct. That title belongs to Larisa Latynina. She won 9 Olympic gold medals and a total of 18 in the '56, '60 and '64 Olympiads. And did with all the real pressure of knowing her performance had massive ramifications for her and her family.

McNabb was good but choked, or rather threw up, in crunch time because he was in crap shape.
The Eagles should have won that Super Bowl and the problem wasn’t the Pats supposedly stealing signals, it was McNabb being a fat fricker. Which TO called him out on.

Part of that, IIRC, was disassociating from the Karolis and the Karoli Ranch.
Bela Karoli may be an a-hole but he got the best out of gymnasts going back to Nadia Comanich in 1976.

You really can’t make this shite up! He’s not even too 50 or 75 of all time . Andy Reid is one of the best coaches of all time when it comes to putting top offenses on the field. One of the greatest? No way in hell .
