I don't claim to be an expert but intuitively, it seems like getting even a semi-accurate climate change model is exponentially more difficult than a pandemic model.
And they can't get the pandemic model right.

I have met him in real life and he is friends with a lot people from the board. Everyone says how nice he is IRL.
But I have never seen him devalue his own posts in such an overt way before.

A female former poster who I helped with some job advice (all via email, no face-to-face interaction) knew him IRL.
She told me he wanted to meet me so she tried to set up a get together for the three of us at Coffee Call in Baton Rouge. I said no thanks.
