Interesting idea i've been in the IT industry for 28 yrs and work with India folks, big cultural diff but we keep everything on the business level.
There's a lot of US workers that deserve a shot but it comes with a not so disciplined ideology!

Lol.. we just cut 10% off our workforce and gave the contract to IBM, who assigned contractors in India and Columbia. The justification we can get 4 contractors for the price of 1 fte, and don't have to worry about laws or benefits. This is the future.

This absolutely must be done.
AI is a 'jobs extinction event' for analysts, developers and software engineers.
There is NO reason for even 1 H1B (for people in these fields of study) to be allowed into the country.
Plus, there are too many example of people being brought in run laundry-mats (true story); we are only shooting ourselves in the foot.
