Better hurry up if he and Alito both retire or Biden may have 4 or 5 vacancies. Scary thought. Will add that the Washington Post(if you believe them) says Trump people are preparing for possible Thomas retirement.

Thomas has been rumored to retire for the last 10 years. If you spread the "rumor" every year, it's bound to be right one year.

Alito and Thomas swapped for 40 something conservatives. I'll take that in a second.

Biden could serve 10 terms - Thomas isn't dying while the guy/party who led his confirmation lynching is in power.

There's also rumor that RBG is dead.

I heard John Roberts is a reptilian alien overlord. Keep this here until confirmed.

Dumb rumors.

Thomas finally has some friendly support on the court from Gorsuch and Kav, why on earth would he retire now?

She's been dead for years. That's an animatronic RBG that sits on the bench.

Why would you automatically assume that Clarence Thomas plays basketball just because he's black?

Thomas is the only real conservative remaining on the court.

These leaks are to rally Trump supporters.

Many, including me, voted for him #1 on he versus Hillary appointing SCOTUS justices

I don’t mind this, as long as they don’t nominate another rapist.

No, he won't. He's been very critical in the past about "stay on the court forever" judges and he's stated he wants time to enjoy his life in retirement.

No. I've read a lot of Thomas. He will hang on if Trump loses. He may retire if Trump wins.

Clarence Thomas is aiming to be longest serving Supreme Court justice ever.

He's been there for 28 years. 36 years is the record.

I thought the new rule was that you can't get a justice confirmed this close to an election?

I agree. He seems to be really enjoying himself the last few years when the justices have made public appearances. Remember this infamous picture from Kavanaugh's swearing-in ceremony?
