Today I turn on the local news to catch the weather. One of the New Orleans news stations (channel 4) was there to tell me how voter suppression is still here despite MLK's efforts. So today, I assume we will get to hear about how not only is it the doctor's birthday but blacks are still being suppressed in today's voting climate.

If that is true, how did the Mocha Messiah Barack get elected not only once but twice?

It must have been the white people, who were the only ones "able to vote" that got him in by default.

They want us to believe that a record number of people voted in 2020 but there is wide spread voter suppression. You can’t have both ways

It’s easier now than ever for anyone to vote

It’s their go to playbook when they have nothing else just like racism

Wonder if we’ll hear about content of character, not color of skin.

That speech would be considered a white supremacist screed by today's standards.

Is the suppression because there aren't enough 2-piece chicken box lunches to lure everyone out to vote?

Just heard MSNBC talking about how evil texas is because of mail in voting changes in a certain area. Mail in votes in that area require a photocopy of your id and the last four numbers of your ss#.

If they tell you this, that'll be the smallest lie they tell today.

It’s also setting up the narrative for when voting levels plunge back to Earth from their 2020 stratospheric levels.

85% of the country recognizes what this is, especially when you combine the fact that they want to add 2 states, destroy the filibuster. It will destroy the country as we know it

Voter oppression, like racism, is a thought, not an actual thing.

ALl this started when the DEMS supposedly got 81 million votes...what else do they want!

Voter turnout will drop like a rock due to less ballot harvesting and ballot stuffing. They will then in turn scream voter suppression as the cause.

It's just another media fantasy about something that doesn't exist. At least in amounts that make any difference.

They are spot on re "voter suppression". The Right DEMANDS that unqualified/illegitimate voters be suppressed. Otherwise, there will be a desertion of the whole electoral process. So, the Media can pick their poison; either get on board with the suppression of illegal votes, or burn down the whole process, and move to what fills that vacuum.

Or, they can attempt to promote the Dem's pure Democracy version of governance where ALL people vote. And we'll see if that anti-Constitutional, "fundamental transformation" dog hunts.

This will be the theme of the press going into the mid-terms later this year. It will give cover to why Republicans win back both the House and the Senate (other than admitting the truth that it all falls on Biden's shoulders as having probably the worst first year as President, especially when you consider he has a favorable Congress).

You can’t change the current voting system unless there is something wrong.

Unbiased media is dead.

Fun fact: Not one non-felon US citizen of voting age will be prevented from voting if they want to.

Saw an article yesterday that said some applications were turned down because the SSN on the application didn’t match the one on record.

If you are too dumb to correctly put down the last four of your SSN on an official government application, you are too fricking dumb to vote.
