This is the perfect example of why Moore lost. For 20+ years now he has been unwilling to concede defeat. It’s his constant constructing and nailing himself to his own cross that has turned off a large portion of the state’s voters. That’s why it was so idiotic to use his loss as a referendum on Trump. Moore lost because the state is tired of him, we’ve been tired of him, and generally wish he would go away. The problem is Moore refuses to.

this is actually part of the "silver lining" in losing this seat
national democrats are creaming themselves over this being part of a "blue wave" that is coming
Moore did not lose because of any "blue wave" coming or dissatisfaction with Trump
he lost because he was a really bad candidate that motivated the other side
being a bad candidate costed him some voters that went the other way that normally are solid republican votes
also increased the number of write ins and caused many to just stay home that would normally come out
it was a perfect storm
