I don't think it matters who was running. Trump was going to win. He expanded the party. This wasn't a Republican landslide. It was a Trump landslide. The Senate races and house races tell you that. They will never be another Trump

FTR, the rest of us, (Non-bots) are DeSantis fans. We just didn't want him to be so ambitious and throw away his political future.
He could have easily been the nominee in 2028 had concentrated on being governor.
Now I'd say both Vance and Youngkin have leaped frogged him. Not to mention that Vivek isn't going anywhere either.

This thread is fascinating to me. I never new this drama existed before. It makes sense to me now though. I couldn't understand how some posters seemed pissed about Trump doing well. Now I understand
