I don't hate her, she appears quite good at what she does. I don't know how that translates into a COS role, but that's Trump's call.
Obviously some breach of trust happened for DeSantis to alienate her as he did - the leaked campaign memos are often mentioned - but I've never seen any detailed/reliable account about it.
I do think it'll be dumb if the bad blood creates a further rift between Trump and America's most effective conservative.

The leak thing never made sense to me as the full story. The leaked memo may have come from Wiles, but her motivations for doing it (and the fact it didn't really make her look great either) never seemed to make much sense.
I've assumed the memo thing was just a final straw sort of deal.
I've seen some MAGA fanatics with some pretty wild stories about Casey DeSantis and Wiles getting crossways but I've never seen that from any serious person in conservative political circles or Florida politics.

Ok thanks for the detailed response. I never heard about it before so was clueless. I think it's silly but was kinda shocked to see the uproar on X about it. Does not seem like a big deal to me

Casey DeSantis got in a cat fight with Susie Wiles and Casey insisted that Susie should be fired from team DeSantis.
Local Fla press leaked that Ron was doing a private golf thing with donors and Casey had a fit it leaked to the local press, and blamed Susie.
Susie was fired. Casey asked Trump to fire her. Rick Scott was pissed.
Susie is big in Fla politics and felt blacklisted. Trump hired her.
This is all verifiable I have posted all the Fla news links. James Carville picked up on it and the story spread.
ETA: Then Christina Pushaw the wretched color revolution neocon neolib whatever.... was hired as team DeSantis... She had to file a FARA request retroactively--- Ron wouldn't fire her after a big to do with local media saying wtf Ron.

It seems unlikely to make much difference to me - Trump is obviously king of the movement and Wiles got the last laugh on the attempt be DeSantis to sideline her...
...but I don't think Trump or Wiles get any benefit in shutting out DeSantis even if the bad blood is ongoing. It'd be like laying off far and away the best salesman in your company. DeSantis is going to score points governing FL with or without the WH's partnership, so the WH might as well get/take partial credit for them.

Things were corrected in the second effort ( granted he could have coasted and still won in 22 but. He didn't on the campaign trail and it showed in the polls)
