If he were standing in front of me I would seriously consider punching him in the face.

I was at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon yesterday and the speaker was absolutely trashing Mayor/President Broome for allowing big projects to wither on the vine. That same woman had endorsed Broome during her campaign. Reep, reep what you sow. They all panic'd, thinking Bodi might spend less money on downtown infrastructure and more on suburban infrastructure. Jokes on them, with Broome, you will get nothing and like it plus extra corruption and a handicapped police department.

He's nothing but a money grubbing cuck! He tried to get rid of City Park so he could build houses on it. He gets people to support him by threatening to trash their business in his magazine. My buddy dated his daughter for years and when he went to dump her arse he did it to him and his families business!

What I never understood is how anyone could actually believe a race hustler as mayor-president is a good idea. They achieve power by division and sustain their tenure through kickbacks to their supporters.

They didn't think she would be a race-hustler. They wanted to believe that she would be Kip Holden 2: Electric Boogaloo. They then blindly ignored when she brought in Denise Marcelle and turned her campaign in a racial direction in the runoff. They were so scared that Bodi White might try to 4-lane and enclose ditches around some roads in the rural parts of the parish rather than buy expensive downtown properties only to turn around and donate them to developers. Bodi was seen as too toxic for the business crowd to support, so they cut off their nose to spite their face by electing a race-baitor who will likely destroy the city's business climate for a generation.
ETA: If I had some money backing, I'd run for mayor. It's about damn time we had someone who wasn't a total clown try their hand at governance.

Shes having white patrons arrested on 3rd street for open containers so she can skew the crime numbers to make it seem like whites are almost equal the problem to blacks when it comes to crime in BR!

Hate to break it to you but open container violations don't get reported to the FBI. It's a minor misdemeanor. She is probably doing it because she knows they will pay the fine.

This. It's nothing but a money grab.
However, I heard that the reason it was put in place were that some of the bar owners didn't like these huge bar crawl events where roving packs of greeks with big personalized plastic go-cups would rove the street from bar to bar. The bar owners not affiliated with the pub crawl probably slipped some money to the mayor's office, notifying them of the rarely enforced ordinance and thus a crackdown ensued. It wouldn't surprise me if it was political payback against Delgado (the face of and part owner of many of the third street bars) for trying to start the recall movement.

Regardless of whether you like Rolfe or not, I think we can agree that many people were duped by SWB and thought of her as being interested in a balanced approach. Her performance has been incredibly disappointing as she seems to place race above all else and unfortunately I don't see any indication that's about to change.

Well based on her legislative track record she was NOT a race hustler. Not as "outgoing" as Kip, but she certainly worked with everyone.
I continued to be shocked by her hard racial turn.

Rolfe is a bitch. Period. He lost me with his blinders on attitude to Jindal. His constant holier than thou, steadfast conservative preaching never jives with what he practices - either as an editor/publisher or as an on the fringe political player.

I realize she came from the legislative branch, but so did Kip. However, Kip was smart enough to listen to business people and he hired a strong CAO to run things while he did his Kip thingy.

He's a John McCain type. He doesn't hold political office, but owns a few popular magazines around town. Most notably the "Baton Rouge Business Report" and "In Register", a socialite wankfest.
