Hjalmar Schacht turned the economy around, not Hitler. By the end of WWII, Nazi higher ups were in disbelief that so many American leaders loved Hitler's economic policies which clearly didn't work.

As a residual effect of their failures in Weimar, we got the revisionist marxist refuse here, and gave them new life and a reason to exist.

The little cultural provocateurs considered the factionalism, abjection, and dispossessed in Weimar all fertile ground for exploitation while preparing their vision for the West.

Although it didn't work for them in Weimar, even with their best efforts at fomenting and adding to the strife and other woes going on there, the escapees from the Institute of Social Research eventually were given sanctuary here with carte blanche access to our institutions.

Because of the woeful naivete and pollyanna-ism of those in charge at the time, the cultural sappers were able to transfer here and use our laws against us to spread the poison - allowing it to take root and over enough time appearing as though it had achieved more success here than it had in Russia.

Over the decades those slick "originals" have proven that with enough dedication, patience, and effective behavioral methodology and exploitation of the young, weak, and unwary, it could be done from within.

After getting a good look at the Bolsheviks, was Patton correct in stating that we were fighting the wrong people.

I saw an interesting video on a 2005 TV project that polled people from a bunch of countries to name 'Who are the top 10 people in the history of your country?
England started it and it was so popular it spread through other European nations.
The only country that put a restriction on who you could vote for was Germany. Nazis were forbidden.
Hell, it made me curious how many Nazis would have made the top 10 among today's German voters.

BTW, Reagan was No. 1 in America. Churchill was No. 1 in England.

From what I remember they complained about shirkers, and industrial strikes. The strikes were allegedly coordinated by the Communist Party.

The Kiel Mutiny, and the subsequent civil war lead me to believe there was something there.

The mutiny doesn’t occur without substantial infiltration of the navy by the communists. It was not a spontaneous event.

There are definite similarities in the nazi power grab and the current leftists political climate. But to me, the above is also a concern. The Dems/liberal wackos are provoking the right into pushing back and that pushback would be stronger than anything the left is dreaming of. The german people had to choose the lesser of 2 evils, communism or socialism, so they chose the nazis. Then it got out of control with the push back on communism. This could certainly happen here if the left keeps provoking.
