One critical distinction worth noting: a sizable majority of rank and file citizens in Germany supported Hitler’s rise after suffering from the hyperinflation and severe economic depression that ultimately resulted from the punitive effects of the Versailles Treaty.

As an aside, the early rebuilding of German society by the Nazi Party was aided by an infusion of foreign investments that was enabled by financing from an investment bank headed by future Connecticut Senator Prescott Bush.

The German Revolution had Jewish participants, some of whom were in leadership roles along with non-Jewish persons, it was not Jewish "led".

We can’t rely on civic norms protect us from the Left.
As we’ve seen, they will abuse and corrupt our traditions, processes, and now government. Building a one party totalitarian state.
Unfortunately, the very things that made us unique and great. Free speech, our university system, our high trust society, are also vulnerabilities, which they have exploited.
If we’re going to stop them, we can’t be nice. That’s the lesson for me, from Chile, from Spain, from Russia.
As we’ve seen, they will abuse and corrupt our traditions, processes, and now government. Building a one party totalitarian state.
