"Mike Leach was an incredible Patriot and Coach, with a big heart for our Country and for Football," Trump said. "From the very beginning, Mike was on Team MAGA, because he believed in our Great American Dream, something he lived, and helped others to achieve for themselves. My deepest condolences to his wife Sharon, and family. Coach Mike Leach will be missed by us all."

And this is why ESPN isn't covering it.

If it was Nick Saban (democrat) things would be way different.

What? Mike Leach was adored by everyone. He’s been covered on ESPN constantly this week.

Regardless of his politics, which I’m on board with, he was an incredible human being. Honestly didn’t know of him till Texas Tech but have been a fan since. RIP Coach.

Definitely a card. Watched a ton of his interviews because you never knew what direction they would take. He gave levity to college football and will be missed for sure.

ESPN has been covering it nonstop.

It would certainly be different, but not because of the political affiliation. Nick Saban is widely considered the greatest college football coach of all time. The media attention he’d receive wouldn’t have anything to do with his politics.

ETA: There is an entire section on the home page of the ESPN App dedicated to Leach, two full days later.

There is nothing Trump could say or do that ESPN would approve of. The network and everyone marching to their woke policies are peaces of shite.

They are a fricking Disney Cult.

Did they mention that an ex-prez issued a statement? Yahoo did. Athlon sports did. MSN did.

ESPN mentions Obama all the time

Mike Leach having the picture of Trump in his office back in the day is awesome. Genius appreciates genius.

Haven't watched even one single second of ESPN since 2019, but not surprised.
