5 of the 7 rino Indiana state senate seat incumbents gone. 2 elections still yet to be called. Its happening. Trump backed candidates are unseating these rinos in primaries. This is the way.

Let’s hope Louisiana also makes the right choice and ousts Cassidy.

I mean, if you accept that neo-cons are now MAGA, you might have a slight point. Some people still act like Ted Cruz, Rubio and Lindsey Graham are "conservatives", so I guess it's basically just a lot of semantics.

I doubt the voters in Indiana are neocons.

When primaries become the focal point of elections, there is zero incentive for any legislative body to ever get anything done.
Congrats on electing twitter warriors.

The confusion is that for populists, "conservative" doesn't actually mean someone who adheres to conservative values and principles.
It just means someone who is loyal to Trump.
And Trump is Big Government, tax and spend (albeit his taxes come in the form of tariffs), enthusiastically picking winners and losers, involving government in private industry (which is, by definition, socialism), relatively anti-2nd amendment, etc. He has some conservative stances as well, but no more than, say, Bill Clinton.
You mentioned Ted Cruz, for example, who adheres to a far more conservative agenda than Trump, yet you sneer at the notion that he's a conservative.
So yeah, it's just semantics, but the stupidity in the semantics is on MAGA, who somehow thinks that the word "conservative" should have nothing to do with actually advancing conservative policies.

You guys continue to beat this drum. Nobody gives a shite about how conservative someone is, we want people who actually work for us. People like you and the left are the far extreme minority who are holding up progress.

Exactly! Those reps shouldn’t have voted against redistricting.

Sorry, Chachi. We’ve been telling these people what we expect and they haven’t listened after being elected. Now we’re like the Glen Close character in Fatal Attraction - “we will not be ignored”
Looks like several incumbents who refuse to listen just woke up to a bunny on their cooktop

The current example of staunch conservatives is Massie who has only passed one bill in 14 years cosponsored with a radical dem. If that is what conservative means, yeah I’m far fricking from it.

I think he’s for sure gone. Question is will the republican be letlow or Fleming. I would be stunned if bill cassidy wins.

quote:This may take the prize for the dumbest take I've seen in some time. In your mind, a bunch of politicians that failed to follow the wishes of their constituents getting primaried and sent back home means politicians will now not get things done? You think this will not be a wakeup call, but rather a signal to do even less?
When primaries become the focal point of elections, there is zero incentive for any legislative body to ever get anything done.
This is the ONLY effective tool voters have to make politicians understand they represent the people that elected them and that they are expected to conduct the people's business, NOT do the opposite or nothing at all.
