Riddle me this Batman?

Why does all these dumb Democrats think it’s awful for us to produce our own gas/oil but it’s ok to buy more gas/oil from a dictator that will buy more weapons with the money. Then the said dictator will turn around use those weapons to attack a neighbor which causes explosions that starts fires that produces smoke and other stuff that the left says is terrible for the environment and causes climate change. Am I just crazy or would we just be better off to produce our own gas and oil to begin with if you wanna reduce harm to the climate? Just something I noticed earlier.

Not only that, the people we are buying oil from are still polluting the planet. What’s different if we simply shift polluting from one part of the earth to another?

I work in the industry and honestly I've sat around and drank beers with peers in my industry and speculated it really isn't a horrible thing to import other countries energy reserves to preserve ours for future generations.
That being said, we should do it only when it makes economic sense which is clearly not now.

Because they don't care about things that don't help their agenda. For example: they don't actually care about going green, they care about the power they get from idiot voters that only see green. Another example: they don't actually care about human rights, they care about the power they get from idiot voters that see a rights abuse around every corner.
If this weren't true, those politicians would have a serious beef with human rights and green abuses in China, Russia, etc.. But they don't care.
