The difference is that none of them tried to portray a status quo maintenance Bill as Armageddon. You need to visit Gateway Pundit or Daily Caller for that.

When a Govenor states they will give birth and put the baby on the table and then decided if they want to keep it....

It pretty much is. For you to defend that is sick. You truly are sick. And I don't care if a mod hammers for saying. You suck a a human being.

That doesn't even make sense.

If they fear the Supreme Court will overturn the status quo, reiterating the status quo has absolutely no effect upon it.

That's correct.

They would rather argues semantics than admit that the ideology behind the proposed Legislation we've seen lately is so very Nazi-like.
You DO realize that the Nazis made it a capital offense to provide an abortion to an German woman, right?

Probably not.

This is like passing a law mandating the top speed limit in your state is 75 when the law already states the top speed limit in your state is 75.
No, it is (barely) like passing a law setting the speed limit at 75mph, when you are concerned that the feds are about to lower it to 30mph absent a state law to the contrary.

Shorty, you are smarter than this. Roe set a national standard. If Roe is overturned, all that means is that there is no longer a national standard at Roe levels. If they want to maintain rights at that Roe level, they will need a state law setting the standard at Roe levels (or wherever else they want them, of course).

They WANT the challenge to actually overturn Roe so that they can then use it as a political issue.

I agree with this completely.

It is a microcosm of idiotic Democrat strategies.

But like everything else they try to out outrage each other - they reveal themselves as lunatics.

I can only speak for myself, but their actions with this issue over the last week has proven true every horrible doomsday scenario on abortion that prolife hardliners have been preaching for as long as I have been alive.

I always tuned them out. They never seemed convincing and I guess I’m just a Pollyanna and assumed that nobody really could be monsterous enough to advocate for partial birth abortions.

The gross. Matter of fact. Sterile. Cavalier language of Democrats on this point over the last week has completely changed my mind. And I think it will for millions.

Roe will be overturned. And states are going to constitutionally enact extreme restrictions on all abortions. The Democrats did this to themselves by not being able to admit that these “Nazis” On the right may have a point.

No. She was a pioneer

Meh. I think calling these people from the left like her "pioneers" is overstated. She was elevated to the Supreme Court precisely because she was a woman.

I'm not overly impressed when you rise to a position in a time where the path is actually made easier for you.

The day she made the court, she only had to be the best female available according to the President at the time.

Not the best justice available, just the best female. And the female pool in that time was already weaker simply due to a lack of depth.

Hell. What would be a pioneer going forward is being a white male nominated by a Democrat president to the court!

THAT would be pioneering.

So, let's make sure I understand...

Build a wall along your border? Immoral.

Aborting a baby even after it's born? Perfectly okay.

Got it.

Makes no sense.

Law already states it's 75. New law states we are changing it to 75.

In other words, the fact that you KEEP ignoring. It's already a law in those states like VA. Stop ignoring it.

ALREADY

A

LAW

In

Those

States

Again, you are better than this. She was the woman selected for the SCOTUS job BECAUSE she was already a pioneer as an attorney ... much like Thurgood Marshall. As an example, she was one of the first to argue BEFORE the SCOTUS in support of women's rights.

It's already friggin state LAW.

ROE being reversed and outlawing abortion would 100% address the states

I am, in fact, smart.

Which is why I understand their play here.

The Roe standard certainly leaves a bit of a gaping hole for the health exemption. But, it's also never really been spelled out and, until now, no one openly had the balls to say it included healthy baby during labor.

So, in its current form, it's not really THAT cut and dry that the court would overturn it, but even if they did, it would not be generally accepted that the specifically had a problem with the expanded definition of "health".

So. What the left is doing is they are creating a poison pill. They are passing legislation that they know will flat out offend the sensibilities of a conservative court. They WANT the court to overturn Roe fully.

Moreover, they had hoped to be able to do it sort of under the cover of night while still claiming their more specific bills only applied to at risk pregnancies and deformed babies. But that cat's out of the bag.

You argued that a pro-abortion bill is Nazi-like, apparently unaware that the Nazis PROHIBITED abortion for German women.

Yes, I think you are an idiot.
