Let's start running commercials to promote donating money to the federal government for social programs.
We can have Sally Struthers narrate while showing a montage of pictures of homeless people scrounging for needles, distressed illegal aliens, and transgender people getting turned away from life-saving surgery.
We'll see if the liberals will put their money where their mouths are, and contribute to these worthy causes.

You already know the answer to your question. Liberals are good at spending other people's money. I have never heard, in my lifetime, a proponent of higher taxes actually volunteering to pay more than the IRS says they owe. There's a word that describes people like this hypocrite. It's synonymous with liberal.

Yeah, but liberals are all about feelings, and Sally Struthers can really lay it on and make them feel guilty. Then when liberals talk about paying your fair share, you can just ask them how much they contributed. It gives us a way to deflect it back on them.

It might work. This type of commercial is everywhere. It’s definitely better than throwing our tax dollars into a black hole.

What we should do is fund the powers granted the government by the constitution - which are very limited in the original scope. No government debt allowed.
Then they can set up a fund for the social programs people clamor for and people can donate to that.

They may not pay more than they owe, but they'll gladly sign up to owe more
