he amount of commercial space for sale I have seen in the last 30 days is unreal

Makes sense. I was considering moving from my leased premises to buying something. Asked a commercial realtor and she was quick with the "absolutely not, commercial real estate is booming" and then tried to show me an overpriced RETAIL location right after I told her I was looking for office / warehouse space on the cheap. I think they are scrambling and saying whatever they need to say to convince themselves that doom isn't coming.

While it may be way cheaper to pick up the property now, the heavy taxes and unions will take their toll. You simply have to ask yourself if greater media exposure is worth the pain.

Yep
Perfect example is Colorado.
Californians have been moving there for 30 yrs and finally flipped it.

That is why I'm not happy at all to see these companies moving to Texas.

Takes a lot of people to flip a state that size. More so when the politicians are putting in turnstiles at the border.

Stay the frick out of Florida if you bring your liberal arse politics though.

A lot of retail chains are in bankruptcy and were in trouble even before COVID.

Not surprised JCPenney is closing down stores with high expenses, they're trying to survive as a chain. Neiman Marcus also closed its store in NYC.

I hope we don't get roped into bailing these disasters out. Liberal mayors/governors shouldn't be rewarded for being, well, for being liberals.

My buddy’s wife (no pics) is an analyst for a major development firm in Tampa. She was telling me last weekend that based on the delinquency rates they’re anticipating a major commercial real estate downturn in Q4 2019 through Q2 2020. If she’s right, that’s a scary thought. Considering it’s just the downturn, who knows how long it’s going to take to recover.

Considering it is August 2020 right now, I think you have your dates wrong unless they are looking at trailing data rather than upcoming data.

The people who run NY must know what's coming in the form a big "reset" and that they will be bailed out in some way.

maybe an influx of illegal immigrants would boost the economy in NYC.

Dems love them illegal immigrants.

what i meant to say is undocumented workers.

Good. Let New York die. May Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle follow it into Hell.

And Austin... get back in the closet or you go with them.

This is what happens when you put economics before God. Your vote better be for God first, and economics will follow. No one can be more generous than God. Give to God what is God's and give to ceasar what is ceasar's. Be careful when voting for a ceasar that wants to take that which is God's. It will turn out very badly.
