so this is your mantra? that kid is going to cost me tax dollars - KILL IT!

The consequence of banning abortion is that millions of human beings get to live and have chance to contribute to society.

No. I am fine with allowing the country to die over this issue.

You realize by doing that you lose on this issue in the long run as well right?

No, that's a non starter.

Murder of a country's own citizens can never be accepted.

There are abortions. Legal abortions will continue until the end of time. The GOP has not banned abortions.
They simply said 'It is not a right in the Constitution.

I think: (1) abortion is a state right (2) government shouldn't have a say in abortion

Yes. That's what the Roe repeal decision said. I'm glad you agree with the Republicans on abortion.

Just like gay marriage, all they wanted was to marry.

Now they want to cut little boys wieners off.

So...nothing changes? Not sure what your point is here. Abortion certainly isn't going to go away by voting for people who support it.

This is absolutely garbage. In 99% Late term abortions (after 30 weeks) the mother planned to keep the child but had a terrible decision to make do to health of either her or the baby. It’s not as cut & dry as you try to make it

What are you talking about? In late-term abortions, they induce labor. It's much harder to suck out a whole baby, they have to birth it, then kill it if it doesnt die on its own.

We can offend each other or you can offend GOD.

It’s a state issue now, and the GOP is at fault for not having an explanation when they knew Roe was going to be overturned.
It’s done, and Graham was an idiot for trying to nationalize it.

Situations where the decision is "one of you will die and you have to pick one" have never been a part of the abortion discussion. That has never been illegal, and no one has been arguing that it should be.

Exactly.

Just like gay marriage…

Just like gun laws…

Just like climate change…

Just like their entire agenda.

The pro life soapbox will not carry into the future well.

The pro-abortion crowd will never admit it, but they are drawing an arbitrary line in the dirt and saying it is ok to kill people on the other side of this line. For now the line is pre-birth. It could just as easily be too white, or hair too curly, too Jewish or any thing you can come up with.

What is the point of civilization at all if our governments allow us to kill one another over whatever nonsense we come up with to justify the people on the other side of the line or somehow less than?

It's tough, on one hand, unwanted pregnancies/kids are the root of most of our countries problems: poor public schools, crime, welfare. Making abortion illegal would likely not help any of these issues. I could make a case that more should get abortions.

Poor people aren't having abortions, they are outbreeding everyone.

college-educated women going into careers are the ones not having kids.

But why don't we just kill the people who already had a chance at life and failed instead of killing the innocent? The, they might turn out to be bad or poor doesnt hold water when we dont kill the bad and poor anyway. So why kill babies who arent bad or poor?

And the kids didnt cause the schools to be poor, the government and the adults at the school did, the parents did.

The kids didnt choose to get on welfare, we pay women to have kids without a man in the home.

You are blaming things on children that are the problems adults created.

as you can see posters like to think of it as a state's issue. If the GOP had full control of the house, senate, and president i would bet the first major bill would be a nation wide ban on abortion. Hell the only religion the GOP has is abortion....

Interesting. You say this but then follow it up with this:
quote:

Unpopular opinion, I know. I think abortion is terrible but at the same time, I think:

(1) abortion is a state right
(2) government shouldn't have a say in abortion

Soooooo, pretty much exactly what the Republicans have done with the SC ruling. Me thinks you don't know much of what you are talking about.
