USAF should've theoretically known where the WSO was from the time he punched out. Unless he was critically injured and wasn't able to communicate on secure comm's. Every Crewman is assigned an ELT that activates on ejection

F15 wasn't shot down in Bosnia. Im of seeing F16 (Capt. Scott O'Grady incident) and the F117.
Unless it was another country's F15 and I dont remember it or am not seeing it when I just searched. The two I mentioned were the only two I remember from that war, but I was a teen so I could be not remembering correctly.

We don’t know what happened yet do we? I was originally worried the Kuwaiti Air Force was involved again

If it worked. But yeah I’m very interested in hearing the whole story here

I would imagine so. His book "Basher Five Two" is a great read and goes into a lot of what he went through evading capture.

Theoretically, they should not have been shot down.

You can't account for Golden BB's and an illiterate Iranian with a Manpad

Just googled him to see what he did.
Something about an “exceptional job”

That is a ton of targets (if they really were going after downed US flight crew) for a couple A10s or a C130 Ghostrider (formerly Spectre and Spooky) to just circle and destroy a lot of stuff.
I think what's actually happening here is that the Iranian civilians are actually out in the road causing a traffic jam and the only people who are able to get through are the Basij forces on their motorcycles. They've done this before during previous demonstrations apparently.
There's a part of that video that shows all the cars stopped in the road and only motorcycles being able to make it through.

I dont know what usaf sere school says about what he did, but he does mention the movie painted him as a pilot that disobeyed orders. All I remember about the movie is it showing him in a tit-for-tat with a Slavic sniper.
Good book though.

Sere school he is used as a glowing example of what not to do from the time his canopy closed to the time he was picked up.
