My guess is that any reparations would be pissed away shortly after they are received because a lot of people have no history of ever managing money and think that any windfall they get will recur down the line.
Think of it like having 12% of the country winning the lottery. And then look into the history of what happens with major lottery winners.

If Biden wins and Dems take control of the senate, reparations that’ll (certainly) be paid won’t even make the top 5 of things to worry about.
