So you are trying to frame the recent incident as equal to what happened on Jan 6, which will likely be a federal holiday if Dems get back in office.
You probably have enough intelligence to discern between the two 'incidents' but am not confident in that assessment.

What a stupid comparison. Classic cubs
She put herself in a bad situation as well but she didn’t have a weapon like a vehicle or gun. She could have been subdued by most men without a weapon.

4 times instead of three; not sure why we should care.

Exactly. There was no self defense excuse

Neither deserved to die but there’s no reason to put yourself in either situation. These women have some self inflated ego that they can win a physical battle against men who are trained to protect our laws. It’s just not going to work out for them.

Grew up in New Iberia and spend a lot of time in the Basin. I now live in Butte la Ros. I have a specially designed pontoon boat that allows me to spend the night on. I also have a 10' canoe that I take with me. Been spending 1, 2, and 3 nights there fishing and hunting. We are lucky to have the Basin.
Sounds like a great life. I envy your access to such a special place. We are lucky to have the Basin. Enjoy

I for one can admit that Babbit should not have been there.
Can you admit the same for your new found idol?
If both would have been at home minding their own business, both would still be alive, no???

A well-trained officer would at least try to de-escalate the situation

no human being can be hit by a car and still fire off 3 (4?) shots at point blank range

quote:Oh yes it does. I will keep repeating this - OR OTHERS
a suspect attacked an officer, giving the officer reason to use deadly force, did not necessarily justify continuing to use lethal force
quote:First, that's not what happened in this case. Second, it's irrelevant
the officer jumped out of the way
-by the time the officer shot, she was clear of the vehicle and shot through the driver's side window
quote:Oh there's no doubt this is true. Judges be crazy lately
Just because we think that, doesn't mean a judge won't conclude there is enough of a factual dispute to let a trial decide the matter

quote:This statement is not accurate. There is consideration for "others" being in danger. That's going to be impossible to disprove in a court
Deadly force will only be considered reasonable, the Court held in Garner, when “it is necessary to prevent escape and the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others.” 471 U.S. at 3, 105 S.Ct. at 1697

Had to live in Houston for 35 years for business purposes. Always wanted to come back. Married a wonderful woman there. Brought her to Louisiana often and she fell in love with the people, culture, food and music. Didn't take much to convince her to move. We moved in 2020 and we couldn't be happier. South Louisiana is special.

Amen. My wife and I were economic refugees to the Midwest for a few years. So blessed to be back home.

Seems plausible that a bullet could hit a driver in the arm and then continue into the chest.
Absolutely. Especially considering the agent was shooting from the side after he was out of danger.

“After being attacked” is some serious context to exclude
