This is the left after Trump won. They have not changed. They want nothing to do with a Republic. They want control to do as they wish for the sake of their $$$$$$

Rep. Maxine Waters called on her supporters to publicly confront and harass members of the Trump administration
“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.
Waters appeared on MSNBC later in the day to double down on her remarks, saying she has “no sympathy” for members of the Trump administration.

The entire term "whataboutism" is just an attempt to get away with a double standard.
Observe:
Person One does something out of line and Person Two calls them on it. Person One ignores the admonishment, or simply excuses it away as if Person One was making a big deal out of nothing. Person Two is stunned by the brazen behavior, but nothing happens to Person One.
Times Passes.
Person Two does something in a similar vain as Person One did a while back. Person One suddenly becomes outraged by Person Two's behavior, only to have Person Two look around stunned at the sudden interest Person One has in this issue, what with them having completely waived away any worry about their own behavior in the past. When Person Two dares point to Person One's past behavior and wanting to addressed that before we move on to this new thing, Person One then suggests that Person Two is engaging in "whataboutism."
In essence, all "whataboutism" is is a person knowing that they can get away with anything up front, and will also be able to drag the opposition for doing the same thing later, and if they dare speak up to point it out they can claim this idiotic fallacy.
I think a 6 year old must have come up with this.

Surely you have video of “the other team’s” elected leadership saying similar things to their supporters?
An elected official (Republican, Independent, anyone really) serving in a national role instructing their supporters to form a mob and harass other public officials at restaurants, gas stations and department stores? I’m not saying it hasn’t happened, I just haven’t seen it but it appears you have so I’d really appreciate you sharing that.
