No point in you using Plex or running a server out of your house soon. When data caps are everywhere and your ISP throttles your upload traffic.

I do this now. My friends bring a hard drive over to my house and I copy my plex content to it so they can watch it when they get home and they bring me stuff I copy to my plex box.
comcast is already data capping everyone UNDER OBAMA'S NN so the hell if i'm sharing plex with anyone. i can barely stay under the cap as it is.
