Like what? Could you list, say, about 5 things.
This sounds illuminating.

Um... I think the point was it was unrecorded.

There was no "Bible" when the Book of Revelations was written. Each book or letter was written to stand alone. It was centuries later, it was voted on which documents should be combined into a Bible, meaning "books", and which should be left out.
Peter refers to Paul's writings as Scripture. While the early Church used scrolls more than codices (bound books), the writings of the apostles were copied and sent around to the various churches so that they could add them to their collections of writings.
There were multiple writings that were accepted as Scripture and kept together in collections, even if they weren't bound into book form until a few centuries later.

If you admit there were real events, people, and actions that happened without being exhaustively recorded in Scripture, then you’ve already abandoned the idea that “if the Bible doesn’t explicitly spell it out, it didn’t happen.”
Genesis skips over massive stretches of human history in just a few chapters. Entire civilizations, conversations, conflicts, technologies, migrations, etc. are condensed into a handful of verses.
So asking someone to list possible things not explicitly recorded is not some gotcha. It’s just recognizing that a selective narrative is, by definition, selective.
The Bible itself even says this principle elsewhere. John literally says Jesus did many other things not written down.
So unless someone believes Scripture is an exhaustive transcript of all history, this objection kind of collapses on itself.

Stop fretting. It was all just a hoax. The lone guilty person, Jeffery Epstein, committed suicide in prison. He even left a note.
Case closed. Nothing more to see on the subject. Time to move on.

Not to derail the thread, but Heiser’s premise is that the Bible has to be read in the context that produced it (ancient Near East / Mediterranean). He wasn’t using pagan religion as authority, he was using ANE material as historical background so we don’t project modern meanings into ancient texts. He even says all other contexts (including later denominational traditions) are “foreign” and must be made subordinate to the Bible’s own context.
In his own “laws for Bible study,” his first principles are:
“There is no substitute for close attention to the biblical text.”
Pay attention to original languages / don’t rely on one English translation.
Look for patterns and networks in the text.
The NT’s use of the OT matters for how prophecy and interpretation work.
What he did, in practice, was interpret the Bible according to other writings, like the Book of Enoch, and used ANE myths to shed light on biblical interpretation.

The Genesis Creation Narrative, while accurate, is incomplete. Bigly. There is a whole lot of shite that happened between the forming of the world and the biblical flood that is not talked about in the Bible.
Everyone knows that every event, every human utterance, every action by human being, was not recorded in the Bible. Many things are understood and assumed.

It’s all over the place after these meetings that were held.
Speaking for myself here, I do not doubt what has been happening one bit, but I think that it is absolute darkness being revealed. The thing for every believer to do is be scripturally grounded and not be deceived or shaken in your faith. This is all predicted in scripture as taking place in the last days. Those who do not believe will scoff at that as they always do, but those who do believe know what I’m saying to be true. We are definitely in those very last days before Christ returns. The weapon you possess is the truth, and Jesus IS that truth, only Him, and His word is our strength.

I really hope this thread doesn't turn into religious wars infighting like another thread. I quit reading when people start preaching and quoting the Bible... And bashing Catholics... bashing Everybody but the Bible thumpers Individual beliefs... Complete with multitudes of interpretations of the Bible...
Is this guy the actual pastor that went to the media or someone talking about the pastor?

The "once saved, always saved" believers are about to have a massive realization.
i don't know... the way it was explained to me was, "Jesus ain't getting back on that cross for you. What he did on the cross is considered a gift to you. It is your choice to accept it or not. So, therefore, you're already saved whether you believe in Jesus or not. It's up to you to acknowledge it, accept it, and live out your life as Jesus insisted."
i would say the folks that use it as a "get out of jail free card".... those people could have a massive realization.

We are called to participate in our grace and are afforded free will. You can reject it if you so choose.

I’m not right. Scripture is. Don’t trust me. Trust the word of God instead. I’m not a leader. Jesus is, and you’ll either believe upon Him or you’ll reject him. That’s your choice.
