Those were the good ole days. We used to get out of school (excused) for the annual Ag Expo in Moultrie. We’d come back with sleeves of Copenhagen and Skoal given out to us teenagers by vendors.

Was definitely not my last. I moved on the Copenhagen and dipped through high school, college and into my late twenties. I developed a sore in my mouth and it scared the shite out of me. I quit cold turkey. It was brutal getting over the nicotine addiction. I had MAJOR headaches. But I did it.

In my po dunk town in Louisiana, I was one of 31 boys in my high school class and the only one who didn’t chew and spit tobacco. Even a few of the girls chewed. And Levi Garrett was indeed the choice of everyone.

Indians introduced the colonists and Europe to tobacco. Prior to cotton it was our biggest export. It’s not like they named it Red Boy or Red Bitch. There’s nothing wrong with Red Man.
