It wasn’t indiscriminately. They were probationary employees.

Post the threads you started over Biden's vaccine mandate. The one Biden himself admitted was likely unconstitutional, the one that was ultimately ruled to be unconstitutional.

Y'all motherfrickers need a lesson in accountability. I'm all for cutting cost, but the administration needs to do their job correctly. Just because I voted for Trump doesn't mean I'm going to cheer for every move he and his staff make. I'm also not going to try to spin his mistakes. He needs to be called out when he screws up.

Politicians aren't our friends. They're here to work for us. Demand accountability instead of giving them your unconditional love. Especially when you vote for them.

what do you mean by "carnage"?

i don't see "carnage". i just see people trying to give you the proper perspective.

every gov't agency was told to cut the work force by 10%. That is what the CDC did. they let 13 hundred go. they realized they needed 180 of the 1,300 back. this isn't the big deal you think it is. it's emotional no doubt. but the gov't can't keep spending money like drunk sailors.

did you feel horrible when Obama told the coal miners in West Virginia to "learn to code"?

Absolutely, especially considering I was a hardcore conservative back then.

I don’t think they are. I would be equally concerned about hundreds of thousands of private sector employees being fired without any thought. I certainly wouldn’t be posting threads ridiculing them like I’ve seen so many of here pertaining to the federal employee firings.

Nope.

You must have missed the lawfare attacks on Musk from the left. You should look them up. Musk helped elect Trump for self-preservation reasons. A quarter of a billion dollars is pocket change to him, and he wasn't motivated by being in charge of DOGE. His motivation was putting someone in office to stop the weaponization of the DOJ against politically inconvenient people, of which he had become one.

Maybe it seems like that to you. But as you admitted, you have no experience or expertise with these things, so...

I agree. I just expect more thought to go into firing someone. That’s my complaint- indiscriminately firing thousands of people seems petty.

Doing so essentially "with cause", which is how many of the emails were worded, so that it potentially impacts unemployment benefits is even pettier.

time matters. unfortunately the unhinged lunatics on the other side will use every dirty trick in the book to stall and prevent the duly elected President from doing the will of the people.

Firing almost 200 people and then realizing so quickly that you shouldn’t have done that (that means it should have been obvious from the start) is a clown show.

That depends on how many probationary people you let go across government. If you fired 500 and 200 were a mistake, yeah, that's a screwup. If you fired 5000 and 200 were a mistake that's not that bad, especially when you can reverse the action.

About 180 people received reinstatement emails, according to two federal health officials who were briefed on the tally but were not authorized to discuss it and spoke on condition of anonymity.

So basically we don’t know shite.

Do you think the fact that so many have been asked back so quickly shows that the firings were carefully thought out? Seems to prove they were capricious.

Weird, you criticize everything he does.

Why would you vote for someone you disagree with 100% of the time?
