The US stopped bombing because Caine told him we are about to run out of muitions, just as countless military experts stated would happen months and years ago if a conflict like this occurred.

Iran bombed US bases shortly after Trump met with Netanyahu and Zelenskyy (who is now an emerging participant in the war).
It was really a rare occurrence of pre-emptive Iranian strikes.
That stands out as important to me. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump was planning on hitting them hard, even up to some ground forces.

I believe Trump when he says this, but we aren’t hitting Iranian civilians nor should we.

Agreed.
It was either done by a rogue element in the IRGC, or they are baiting the US for something.
I’m guessing a humanitarian disaster to turn Iranians against the US, or ground troops they think they can fend off like afghan.
