Per Ginsburg's grandaughter: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."

I am completely appalled that a Justice of the Supreme Court would have the audacity to even think this. As a supposed 'expert' on the US Constitution, she knows that she has no say in what the POTUS does to her seat if she were to die. Her control on that seat is stops and ends when she retires or she no longer breathes. That seat is now back in the hands of the American People, and like it or not, the American people CHOSE Donald Trump to be our president. That is his right, per the Constitution, to nominate for that vacancy.

This just shows how controlling and tyrannical the left has become. She lost all claims to that seat, and knew it was coming, yet still thinks she can control it after her death. This pisses me off so much. Some of these people positioned to protect the rights of society guaranteed by our Constitution, are trampling upon its every word to their very last breath.

You’re right but unfortunately I think it’s the minority opinion in this day of feelz.

1) No one believes this was her dying wish

2) The future of the United States should not be predicated on the dying wishes of a 87 year old hospice patient that should have left her position 20 years ago and was never elected by anyone of us to do jack shite

Here's the thing, though. I doubt she said that. When you are in hospice for late term pancreatic cancer you are either in mind altering pain or on mind snuffing pain killers. She wasn't saying anything on her deathbed.

Her granddaughter is FOS.

Makes a good story, but that is all it is.

I definitely have my doubts that this said. Before I hit 'Submit', I deleted the phrase "If this was actually even said." I decided to remove it because whether said or not, Don Lemon is going to repeat it daily until the day of the vote for her replacement.

For the record, DVer, I didn’t say I believed it.
Just stating that there are bunches of people out there who DO want to believe it—a rallying cry, of sorts.

"Until a NEW President is installed"

We aren't going to wait 4 years and 3 months to fill the seat.

I guarantee greater than 70% of those people didn’t know who she was until they saw her on Netflix.

I dont doubt that they wrote her dying wish back however many months ago she actually died at the request of her.

I doubt that this was actually her dying wish when she you know died

Because its fricking stupid. She was a piece of shite but she wasnt dying wishing for a CNN headline stupid.

You’re right, but it will alter the GOP not one bit.

She spent 27 years trying to legislate from the bench. It's not surprising she used her last breath being purely political.

In any case, this is going to be the rallying cry for many on the left.

The problem isn't whether it was said or not, it's the absurdity of the premise. The problem is that the entire American left believes that this is an acceptable request. The bigger problem is that there have been people on the SUPREME COURT that think this is an acceptable request.

Firstly this.

I think it goes to show you that ideology(feelings) trumps knowledge. On your death bed, feelings are going to come out.

We live in a time where you can call Gorsuch a partisan hack and then post about how Ruthie is a hero for taking partisan stands in her rulings every time and taking political stands is hero material.

Mental illness is rampant

So her dying wish was to subvert the Constitution?

Man I had the same thought, although not as eloquently put. But maybe stated more bluntly, she is a partisan hack, and this is reflective of that. I told some friends, if Trump were nominating clowns, I could maybe halfway understand that sentiment, but there is nothing unqualified about Gorsuch or Kavanaugh at all. It's clear she is viewing this through the prism of a "balanced" court from a political perspective. So for that, her "final words" or "dying wish" are total dogshit and can be discarded as words from a partisan hack that had a perverse view of the Court. Good riddance.
