I'm sure I missed some messages, but I didn't get a sentiment on this board that the vax'd were getting omicron at a higher rate.
I think we all have seen plenty of vax'd and unvax'd getting omicron.
It is shown that having delta antibodies or the vax doesn't help very much against Omicron.
Besides Omicron is a flu and is nothing like delta so why do we care and why are we freaking out. It is burning out in other countries like Britain, Ireland, and South Africa. We are a month behind them.
Omicron is very contagious but it is not like Delta, nowhere near. The good news is that catching Omicron and having the antibodies is very effective at fighting off Delta.
So I don't give a crap about case numbers, it is pointless but it is important to see what deaths and hospitalizations are.

Your graph shows a couple hundred more CASES among the unvaccinated per 100 thousand people.
That's assuming the graph is even accurate.
Your graph is a screaming argument AGAINST mass vaccination.

Unvaccinated people were required to test significantly more often based on guidelines and recommendations in effect Sep 2021. Of course they have more positives “per 100,000 population.” You can’t determine infection rate when the policies regarding who needs to test, when they need to test, and how often they need to test aren’t controlled/equal between the two groups.

Exactly. And that explains the hospitalization rates. Check into a hospital/emergency room and if you're unvaccinated, you're tested. Not so if you're vaccinated. So the unvaccinated "hospitalizations" are higher because the system is designed for them to be higher.

My own anecdotal experience suggests the gap between vaxxed and unvaxxed was much narrower than that during Delta. I knew a lot of people with breakthrough Delta infections.
As for Omicron, any such chart will be even less meaningful, as a lot of people who get cold-like symptoms these days are just not testing, whether they are vaxxed or not. And you've got doctors currently advising people who have cold symptoms right now to assume they have Omicron, regardless of testing or test results.
