The consistent number 1 issue among that demographic is abortion access.

OH NO! HE MIGHT LOSE REELECTION
JD Vance running is essentially a 3rd Trump term so, he kinda is. If you want Vance as President you need Trump's numbers to be reasonable
You also can't take anything from a daily poll 1 year into his admin, its absurd.

Surprised you are laughing at that. They have impeached him twice for things that were no worse than bombing drug boats.

I know his strategy is that the tax cuts will yield big refunds starting in May, and this will stimulate the economy. So at least there is a plan. But if the plan doesn’t work there will be bad results, maybe including impeachment and conviction.
Part the the plan is redistricting too. IDK how that working out right now.
Also working in the GOP's favor is the redirection of USAID money.
Besides Trump's bad polling numbers what's also working against the GOP is historical midterm election trends.
If the GOP loses the midterms and Temu Obama becomes Speaker, the last two years of Trump presidency will be a shite show. The Democrats don't frick around when they get power. Unlike Republicans, Democrats know how to use their power.
With that said, if the Dems to take the House in '26, the irony is it will probably help JD in '28 because the Dems will certainly overstep.

I disagree with the premise for JD/Rubio.
Most of people’s negative view of Trump is about his style of communication. They seethe at him, himself.
I do not think this represents a repudiation of the general direction.
Conventional wisdom would say you’re right… people’s reaction to DJT as a person and as a president are anything but conventional.

It doesn't matter. Vance is going to be a reflection of Trump, and its not like Vance is some soft spoken diplomat.
If you want Vance, and Vance will be the nominee, Trump has to have reasonable numbers
But again...this is a daily poll less than 1 year into Trump's presidency. Its absurd to take anything from it

Definitely can do worse than that.
However, 99.99% chance it is JD.

You voted for a senile old crook, and then you voted for a brain-dead bimbo whose campaign slogan was "I come from a middle-class family."
You should be embarrassed to be that gullible, naive, and stupid.

I live in Louisiana. My electors always vote for the Republican.

He is polling in the 30% approval of the economy. It's not just his communication style that people aren't happy with.

What is the donkey party approval

I'm sure its in the gutter. We don't see 34970 threads a day espousing the divinity of Democrats, though.

42% Strongly Disapprove
The "strong approval" group has dwindled some. Trump's Total Approval is 46%.
By comparison, Biden's numbers at this point (Dec 17, 2021) were -27 Approval Index. 20% Strong Approval. 47% Strong Disapprove, and 41% Total approve.
