If you remember next week, bump the thread with who voted against it. Always interesting.

Because the Fed is an organization of private banks.

The real question is why does a non governmental entity have the ability to create money out of thin air?

Apparently the forum isn't sold on Rand's promise (or rather on him convincing any majority in Congress to green-light audit the Fed.)

If only.

Over a century later and still no one in our make-believe goobermint has ever answered that simple question. Kinda weird, eh?

I mean great, hope he does it. He does this all the time though. How about go meet Trump, rally troops to get it done. Nope he will grandstand with little effort, knowing it will not happen and then proceed per usual

When congress does not follow him, I hope he understand that he should be blamed much like he blames Trump for the things congress does not do.

I think they should be.

I also think all communications should be looked at.

He hasn't done a good job convincing anyone to vote with him on anything except when it comes to spending.

The Fed isn’t a non-governmental entity. It’s independent from the executive and legislative branches in its decisions, but it’s very much a government instrument.
