Except I am North American and that is a term actually used for this continent. A better example would be to call someone from Texas a Mexican. After all, at some point in history that was Mexico.

Neither now, nor in the time of Mary/Jesus was that area known as Palestine. You conveniently left out that part of my argument, again intentionally using distortion to be contrary.

Is that picture real? I had no idea she looked like That. Holy shite! I cannot conceive in my simpleton brain, that is the wife of the mayor of America's largest city. Our world needs a Holy cleansing and not from the pope. The Almighty is our last vestige of hope. Pray!

No, it's not. Because the place where Jesus was born sits not only within the region historically known as Palestine, but also in modern day Palestine. This isn't rocket science.

Furthermore, I'm not being contrarian. Let me explain to you how this works. The woman made a claim. A claim that is factually accurate. People who dispute this claim are contradicting her claim. In other words, being contrarian.

It is not contrarian of me to say that the claim this thread is actually about is accurate.

You're just all sorts of twisted around.

Go back to my initial post. I took issue with the OPs claim that what she says is "ludicrous". How the frick is it "ludicrous" to make a factual claim?

Because it is only factual when looked at in an anachronistic way. For Mary to be Palestinian, she would have to be from Palestine which did not exist when Mary was alive. Not sure what you don't understand about this fact.

This needs to be implemented nationwide...

Florida Gov. DeSantis Designates Terrorist Groups After Judge Pushes Back

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced the state’s intent to implement its new statutory authority to identify, designate, and combat terrorist organizations operating in Florida, marking the first use of powers established by HB 1471. DeSantis signed the bill into law during a ceremony on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa on April 6, 2026, and the law took effect Wednesday, July 1.

Under HB 1471, Florida’s chief of domestic security within the Florida Department of Law Enforcement may designate qualifying organizations as domestic or foreign terrorist organizations. The governor and Cabinet then approve or reject each designation by majority vote before publication in the Florida Administrative Register.

Today, we are officially designating terrorist organizations under Florida law. In addition to CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood, we are adding Antifa to the list, along with more than 90 Foreign Terrorist Organizations, including cartels,” DeSantis said in a statement. Among the named foreign designations are the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and cartels, including Cartel de Sinaloa, Tren de Aragua, Cartel del Noreste, and Cartel del Golfo.

CAIR was designated over its listing as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation case, alongside 245 other individuals and entities accused of aiding Hamas, though none were criminally charged. DeSantis also cited CAIR’s alleged ties to the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, a group designated a foreign terrorist organization since 1997, or its offshoots.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s inclusion follows a 2025 White House designation of certain Muslim Brotherhood chapters as foreign terrorist organizations, a step DeSantis’s order sought to extend at the state level. Antifa’s designation similarly tracks a 2025 White House move naming it a domestic terrorist group.

bullshite. The term Palestine is a Greek adaptation of the word Philistine. It was in use to describe the entire region as far back as the 5th century BC. The Romans officially renamed the territory encompassing Judea Palestine after Christ's death, but the use of the term for the territory is far older than that.

Again, Jesus was born in the region historically known as Palestine and also in what is modern day Palestine. You are factually incorrect, use bad analogies, and don't even know what it means to be a contrarian. You yourself are the contrarian here.

Again, folks may not like it, but what she says is accurate.

The socialist is charging prices the wealthy can only afford? Of course they are.

Let's see if they get labeled as "grifters" by the usual propaganda that loves to selectively investigate that.

I think the point is that she's not qualifying her remarks (that I'm aware of, at least) about the historical and geographical naming conventions and giving the impression that Mary was Palestinian in the same sense that someone today would be considered Palestinian.

The lack of clarity will inevitably lead people to false comparisons about Mary and modern Palestinians, especially since Mary was not "Palestinian" in any sense at the time she lived. It's purely anachronistic.

I'm sorry you don't like the facts of the matter. But they're still the facts.

Where it gets interesting to me is you can push this all back even farther. What does it mean to be Palestinian? Well, it actually means you're a Greek.

The term is derived from the word Philistine, as mentioned earlier. And it turns out the Philistines were the infamous "sea peoples" that conquered the entire region long before Christ was born. These people were pre-classical Greeks. They came in, took over the area, adopted the Canaanite Gods and eventually blended in with the local Levant population. While they adopted the Canaanite Gods publicly, in their private lives they still held European religious beliefs.

So again, like it or not, what the woman says is correct. Why do I care? Because I think all three of the religious groups that argue over this shite are frickin stupid and I'm sick of watching them fight wars and kill people over it.

Outsiders referred to it as Palestine but the locals did not nor did they refer to themselves as Palestinians.

Giving birth under occupation would be accurate, the rest no. At no time would Mary, Joseph, or Jesus refer to themselves as this nutjob is saying.

Anachronistic at its finest

Well, except the entire part that Palestine did not exist during Jesus' time. But keep agreeing with the Islamic communists.

Correction, got my dates wrong. Palestine, become common in 135 BCE. Prior to that it was known as Israel. Prior to that it was known as Canaan.

So while you say, "technically it's true", it is not. Unless you concede that by that logic, Mary was a Canaanite woman.

Or, as the facts have withstood for 2000+ years, she was Jewish, not Palestinian, and Mamdani's bride is just trying to rewrite history the way all progressives try to do.

ETA: And the phillistines predate the Palestinians. Again, it is based on a region, and modern day Palestine has no relation to the area at the time of Christ.
