You are cheering Trump for disregarding a person's legal name, in favor of a name that Trump prefers.

I don't care whether someone sees it as spiteful or not, I see it as a wanted and necessary push-back against the attempted legitimizing of gender dysmorphia as anything but a mental and/or emotional disorder.

So your argument is that we should go along with lies to be polite? Or what?
I wouldn't even mind the polite lies except that the moment you play along with their delusion they go straight into insisting it's reality and that you're a bigot unless you will not not only say but believe in your heart that is true. And that it's fine to get you fired, cancelled, whatever if you won't go along with the lie.
