No person in my family has ever taken a covid test. 2 family members strongly suspect they had covid given the symptoms, but simply stayed home and were 100% fine within a few days.

To my knowledge, none of my friends have had the virus, though they may have and concealed it. None of my friends (or coworkers) have had health issues that would lead me to suspect covid.

So your statement of doing neither is incorrect. I said you would either get the virus or get the vaccine (and yes some will get both).

So if you believe China made this virus with no good intentions, that is what they (the ones with suspected Covid) selected over the American made vaccine.

This has been EVERY person that has questioned/scolded me for not getting it. 70+, obese & or mult co-morb. Acting like our risk is the same

How bout this...we test all patients for both flu and Covid when they arrive. Then publish the results. Question: How many people with cold like symptoms test negative for Covid? And why are these stats not published to calm the populace about Covid?
Has the common cold disappeared too? Frick, the drug stores are gonna go out of business!

Sounds like a paid political message.

Not only that, it's the same political message that is being parroted from dozens of different directions right now.

Unless the vaccine induces immortality, nothing will change this fact.

If we were talking about this outside of Covid, I would agree with you. Maybe I shouldn't have quoted all of his post. The third option he mentioned was -

quote:

I'll take the proven peer reviewed meds that are safe, almost guaranteed effective, cheap and widely available

So, if that were really the case, why are people still dying?

Don't know. Ask The entire fricking country of India maybe. 4% vax rate, and they have made ridiculous strides and are doing better than the USA. They might have ideas.

That's really your answer for all of this? Ask India? Bro....

No one is guaranteed to catch covid, so, no, they didn't choose the China flu over the American vaccine

The birth/death rate is about 1% worldwide which results in 8K deaths per day on average in the US.

Covid didn't change this fact (if it had, I'd be the first in line for the vaccine).

So you can assert your own reality or get on living in reality.

That's up to you.

For the logical failure who keeps posting in this thread, that's called making a non-false dilemma argument as the options are actually binary ...

How about this....we do all of that AND ask for vaccination status. If they passed on the vaccine because they subscribed to some moronic social media based Covid conspiracy theory, they don't get help while others(that have taken some level of responsibility in all of this) get to go to the front of the line.

Sound fair?

Okay, if we're going full fascist ...

Folks who smoke, eat like crap, and don't exercise shouldn't get healthcare first either.

Am I doing this right?

Classic. Attack the source of the proven data and not the data. There ae now proven reviews on the progress they have made. I invite you to go read for yourself.

The vaccine is not needed in its unstudied state when there are ways to win this without it now. That's the point. This is not a binary choice. In 5-10 years when the long term effects of this thing are actually known, I'll be better equipped to make the decision. It's so simple to understand that I can only get suspicious when people start badgering others while never actually producing real information and numbers. "trust me" doesn't work unless I know you as a person first and an actual doctor second (nurses dont fricking count). I 100% believe every other doctor has ulterior motives until they show me different with action. That is true in all things and all professions, not just covid opinions.

I'm Republican to the core. I'm Trump to the core. I'm also a physician and have seen the inpatient side of Covid-19.

It's risky not to get the vaccine. A small risk, but a risk nonetheless. If you're fat or have any comorbidities (High blood pressure, diabetes, COPD, asthma, heart failure, liver conditions, kidney conditions, etc) , it goes from small to only a few percentage points higher depending on how many comorbidites you have, but better to cover your arse than end up in an ICU on a ventilator with essentially assured death.

Just so we're clear, your assertion is that because this "event" didn't change the birth/death rate...you're good and don't need to worry about Covid or being vaccinated against it?

Jesus Christ there is some next level stupid on this board.

I also didn't buy the rock that some guy was selling in Arkansas to protect against shark attacks.

That's the level of logic that you're asserting ...

GTFO with all your logic and reasoning...lol. I truly wonder what it's like to live life in the bubble that some of these forum members live in. It's like a race to the bottom of the IQ scale.

What proven data? You said "go ask India"

As of today, India has given out 330ish million doses of the vaccine....but I'm sure that had nothing to do with the drop in cases..
