Go on record and say what you want. Not what happens then “this is exactly how Trump planned it.”

Of course not. It is the Middle East.

Correct answer.

Regime survives, population pays in blood and Israel starts claiming Iran is 30 days from a nuke in about 8 months.

Further destroying their ability to enrich Uranium for a nuclear bomb, and affording the Iranian people the opportunity to rise up for themselves.
YES. Those goals will be accomplished.
And don't start spewing the progressive bullshite about how the Iranian people don't have access to guns.
Just like the "innocent " Palestinians in Gaza, FIGURE IT OUT!!!

It's their blood that will need to spilled in a fight for their freedoms.

That possible outcome is totally up to the Iranian people. Trump can't decide that for them. Think about those folks at the Alamo, they knew they would be wiped out but stayed and fought.
THAT is the type of attitude the Iranian people must find within themselves.

That attitude is what made America great.

My favorite part of this story is the one where we undermine our own diplomatic agreement, replace it with nothing, launch a pressure campaign, backfires, assassinate Soleimani, and then act like escalation was unavoidable + wax hawkish about “mowing the lawn” once per decade in perpetuity.

No. The Iranian regime will cling to power until we justify a ground offensive. This will lead to a bloody civil war and deepening instability, not less. It will inevitably define Trump’s presidency.

If we stop before the Iranians, who want to end the terrorist regime, are given a chance to join the fight, this will have been a mistake.

No matter the real reason we decided to intervene, the trigger was the slaughter, by the regime, of the protesters. At this point the regime cannot be allowed to remain in power.

thanks. I agree with your list. With this list in mind, and a time frame of "however long it takes to accomphish the list above" presumably being #2 question in the poll

and "can we be successful" being #3 in the poll

then my answer to the lame poll posited by the OP is

yes, this Iran War works out the way we want.

A lot of conservatives want Iran to get nuclear weapons as evidenced by their comments of saying Iran isn't a threat despite their obvious attempts to build a bomb or that they need one to protect against Israel.

So, no, the war will not go as they want.

Clear goals have never been stated. Unconditional surrender? Trump picks Iran's new leader? Both of those demands have been made.

I'll try to explain in words that regular users of this forum might understand.

When someone criticizes LSU's football coach for burning the program to the ground that doesn't make them a Bama fan.

There, do you understand now mongoloid?

But they were trying to build them. That's why when Trump told them that America would provide nuclear material for Power Plants (for FREE even) they responded NOPE.

great thread for gathering the dumbasses

Nobody here has the information to make an informed decision, so this is nothing but "Just guess because your guess will be buried and you can just ignore it if you guess wrong"

There also is no payoff to guessing unless your self-worth is dependent on "being right on the internet".

Any financial instrument requires a blurb stating that "Past results are not indicative of future results" but you expect people to pick a winner here based on whatever slanted info they read?
