I go next door to the hot dog stand or Homewood barber now, I support small independents when I can and old school barber shops are an easy thing to use
They seem to be really rare these days. I also tried Bluff Park Barber once or twice but he was really negative about everything so I never felt obligated to go back. Went to another guy on 280 for a while but he shut down so I've been going to Sports Clips for about a year or two now.

He shaved your neck with an old school straight blade and did shaves as well...
That's awesome.
ETA: As to your original OP, my wife really likes dollar shave club.

Tried about 6 months ago. Didn't work out for me but I have pretty thick facial hair.

Dollar shave club is the shite, no idea if you guys got a bad batch or what but I've been nothing short of impressed and sold as a buyer.

I get copycat Mach 3 blades from Target and like them better than the actual Gillette blades. I won’t buy Gillette again, but I’m not throwing away my vibrating Gillette handle unless I find one like it from another brand.
ETA: Up & Up is the name brand.

Do yourself a favor and buy Dorco blades off of Amazon and save even more money over DSC.
Tip: Dorco makes the blades for DSC! Your handle from DSC will work with the Dorco blades.
You’re welcome!

Mercur safety razor. Feather blades.
Moroccan oil.
Hot towel.
Ruzuel cream or soap. With a silver tip badger brush. Circular motions.
Cold towel.
Moroccan oil. Or quality balm. Pat, don’t coat.
Ear and nose hair trimmer.
Start up costs maybe $125. Ongoing cost much less than aerosol poison foam and cheap blades
Be a man. Be a gentleman.

Double edged safety razors for the win. The blades cost cents to the dollar compared to the big brand, multi-blade razors and are much less harsh on your skin.
Best decision I ever made was going to a safety razor years ago. I keep a short beard and only really use it to shave my neck. One blade lasts about a month for me. Saving a crap load of money that way.

There used to be a Kroger over by Legion Field. Did they shut it down?

Anyone live in a well built, good ole house with bathroom mirror cabinets from back on the day? Open the cabinet and you’ll find a slit in the side wall. It’s to dispose used razors into the wall cavity.

In all likelihood Gillette manufactures those blades too.
You'll have to change razors.

Same here. I keep the beard trimmed and just shave my cheeks and neckline. No lie, I bought a pack of 30 Feather blades almost 4 years ago for $11.22 (I checked my Amazon order history) and still have a few left before I need to reorder. You can't beat the combination of performance and price

not unless Publix is willing to lie in print
see the small print at the bottom of the box, still not sure if they pay a royalty to Gillette, but I am guessing "no"
went ahead and bought some based on the small print

Kroger went out of biz in the Bham area decades ago is my understanding
