Why did they lower Disneys taxes when after only 4 months of being in charge, they simply dont have the revenue. And know that being involved with 2 lawsuits, will require the use of the tax dollars that they just voted away

Why did they lower taxes, when their own budget analysis says they will need that money next year? They are giving Disney a $200 million tax break for the year. Thats a billion dollars in 5 years.
FYI, about those tax breaks. The majority of the taxpayers in the non-Disney category are lessees property owned by companies that are affiliates of the Walt Disney World Co. (e.g., House of Blues, Travelodge, and Hilton). In the event that these lessees fail to pay taxes under their leases, Disney would still be required under law to make that payment. Non-Disney property owners control just 109.5 acres, or .44% of all land in the former Reedy Creek District

If I recall correctly this was due to losing their ability to self govern themselves and having say do over others that adjacent communities. I believe they have additional monetary cost for services as well

That cut should also help DVC (Disney time share) owners as well, so not just Disney benefiting.
