Pretty obvious they are trying to stifle the economy

with this virus scare. The over the top reaction to this thing is entirely motivated to hurt Trump’s re-election chances.
Let’s bring businesses and other activities that bring financial prosperity to communities to a screeching halt in fear of “spreading the virus around” and then when the economy inevitably falters as a result, who do you think they’ll blame that on? Orange Man Bad, of course.
This is just the latest scheme in 3+ years of endless schemes. I’m surprised so many can’t see it for what it is.

Yeah, the liberal media isn't making this completely political.
I just googled to see and got page after page after page of stories (CNN, Boston Globe, NYT, etc) making this event completely political.
I understand the vast majority of society is pretty much retarded, especially when it comes to epidemiology, pandemics, and general emergency response.
If you have any experience in these fields, you'd understand there is no perfect way to manage these events. Mistakes will be made, you learn from these.
I work at a large university. We table top and do live action scenerios through our emergency planning and response team. There are always learning opportunities.
This coronavirus event will offer more learning opportunities.
Not sure what I'm trying to say here exactly, other than the general public is pretty stupid, but think they know everything. Throw in politics and then you really got a bunch of dumb assholes talking all kinds of shite.

Before this virus is in the rear view mirror the DimMedia will have the Dim Drones who watch their daily BS fest believing Trump unleashed COVID19 on China to bring manufacturing factories back to America.......seems pretty far fetched but not out of the realm of possibility.

How many 80 year old people are in the workforce?
There is no reason to shut anything down. The 80 year old people can stay home.
No one else is going to have any more problems if they get this than a whole host of other viruses or accidental tripping that occur every day.
