A reminder: Your defense against the policies of an overbearing Federal government is your state and local government.
Vote accordingly.

David Sachs was on Allin a few weeks ago basically arguing that states rights should be invalidated to ensure these buildouts continue.
It's going to be interesting to see how conservatism is defined in relation to states rights moving forward.
*ETA: for those who don't know, he was originally on the podcast but is now the AI czar in the Trump admin. He's not a nobody.

But the Trump the actual man and politician is not necessarily at the heart of the movement.
Trump, the actual person and politician, is basically your run of the mill, boomer, hack, neo-liberal, Koch bros. Republican.
In this instance he's literally the opposite of that. He's a leftist pushing big federal government to eradicate states rights.
The traditional Republican/Koch brother is a states rights and decentralized power/system type of guy.

Of course. They are still trying to get the ten year ban on any and all state regulation of AI and associated tech passed by hook or by crook. Hell, their last attempt was barely a blurb here, mostly ignored. Thankfully, it was defeated in the "BBB".

I synced it up to the intro. You need to listen through 26:00.
Sacks even tried to use the "DEI" boogeyman to sell this Leviathan

Well, if that doesn't rally the troops around the wagons I don't know what will.

Anyone else recognize the propaganda?
Trump is facing backlash from 0.00038% of his voters, but we're expected to believe this is another sign that MAGA is dead.

nah. even at a 1000 acres they will take up a very small amount of space per each county. After they are built, people will forget they are even there.
We either win the AI race or China does.
Not building them isn't an option.

Danville, PA has a population of only about 4,400.
Is it "propaganda" to point out that the President is on opposite sides of some of his core base on an issue? The same articles were written about Biden's DOI approving a bunch of drill permits in 2021 and 2022, despite what his base wanted.
It is definitely true that many Trump supporters in Rural USA don't want data centers in their backyards.

It involves his billionaire backers. Trump used the working class to get elected, then said "frick you."
He definitely learned the game after his first term.
No doubt.
And all the idiots around here cheered when he so transparently manipulated them with things like, "No tax on tips."
There's not a sucker in the world as gullible as a populist.

Oh, don't worry.
Trump really could shoot someone in the face on 5th Avenue and 98% of you populists would defend it.
Never a truer statement was made than that one.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter which nation "wins" the AI race....
Folks are not considering the bigger picture.
What most folks don't realize is that along with AI and technology advancements comes the inevitable abilities to combine humans and computers. All the chips in your brains sci fi shite isn't just sci fi anymore.
Think about it... the humans that allow themselves to become interfaced with computers (AI) will be far far far superior to regular humans, but missing one vital component.... they are no longer human.
Now, regardless of your religious beliefs, think about what the book of Revelations predicts.... The "mark of the beast " becomes very understandable now.
There's no stopping it. What will be will be. At the end, the only choice remaining is whether or not a person chooses to be transhuman or not.

The acceptance of erosion of states rights is one of the weirder political shifts I've seen.
I expect it with things like the military and spending, but the whole states rights angle seemed to be completely ingrained in the modern conservative perspective.
