Could be propaganda. Stay off Twitter Their Airforce wants none of this.
I would think it is more of a defensive maneuver. Idol planes on the ground at known airbases are easy targets for destruction. In the air, they are a little harder to destroy... But they probably woudn't even be the targets.

We will see. Iran's military doctrine is designed with regards to asymmetry with regards to an invasion. Airstrikes can surely hurt them, though.

Remember, Trump didn't say we would respond if there were US casualties, only if there were attacks on US interests. These bases are US interests.
