Airstrikes won't see regime change, which is what lots of hawks in Washington want. Iran is built to withstand that, to make an invasion a quagmire. No doubt the US can do work on their military infrastructure.

IRGC is what is holding that country together. Neuter them and who knows what could happen. Don’t need boots on the ground to institute regime change.
