Yep. Trump must respect the centuries old culture of the Chinese People. They obviously have created impressive monuments to their acknowledgement of Beauty, Virtue and civilizational order.

Honestly, I wish he would have taken a knee in respect to the Chinese People; I think he would have won the hearts of the Chinese People.

Now when it comes to competition for relative affluence and power, then it's MMA. Respect your opponent in the ring, applying agreed upon rules for combat, but let fair competition determine the winner.

It is obvious that a synthesis of Capitalism and Socialism will be the ultimate ideological base for a successful and survivable Human civilization. With qualifying criteria for all; top and bottom. If we choose the traditional warfare mechanism to establish superiority and authority - given the coming AI High Tech Military applications - we go the Fermi Paradox route. Deservedly so as Humanity would become a predatorial curse on the whole Universe.

We can do better, and we should. Both Trump and Xi can see this. It's up to them to humble down and man up. Or continue the traditional status quo toward Darwinian, civilizational suicide.
