Sounds like the EU and Mexico are not playing ball and he is sending them a message. They will bend on the issue and we hold the cards.

I don’t see how a manic tariff policy is good. Trade has been raising everyone’s standard of living since the advent of city states. Some of you have rationalized that this is a good thing but no one actually wants this.

Only this didn’t happen.

He campaigned on this.

It sounds like poor planning by the company in question.

You know a little warning and lead time would be nice instead of every other month being complete pricing chaos for people whenever Trump feels like throwing massive tariff spikes into the world.

What pricing chaos?

All I know is whatever he’s doing is working our economy is getting better. The chaos is a feature, not a bug.

Yep. All those "he can't fix the economy" people look mighty stupid right now.

Exactly how long were you in a coma?

Glad you woke up, but you might want to catchup on the last few years before posting.

A recent survey of contractors has 30% of all contractors have had a project cancelled. Over 50% have have projects delayed.

Non residential construction spending is down.

Manufacturing output is down.

But keep thinking this is awesome

Just as I hope. I have a shite pot of money to invest if they tank the market. Wouldn't mind seeing some of that April action.

The Boomers on this board live off social security, they don't care about the economy.

You must be mistaken. I've been told that tariffs will be absorbed by foreign countries.

Are you a foreign country?

Right after you claim there's no chaos you agree with a post that says the chaos is all part of the plan.

If you take the time to actually read and understand the two comments, you'll notice we align in our overall conclusions.

Kind of like with Covid? You know, the political driven health crisis that halted and delayed all imports/exports. The one where OSB went from ~$7 a sheet to ~$53 a sheet within a month?

I don't give a shite what Trump does as long as he's trying to help America. Dims don't give a shite what anybody does as long as it hurts Trump.

Yeah, no shite. "Whatever Trump does is right" isn't hard to align.
