Anytime I have to call an agency, outside of the flight line because those civilians are legit, I only talk to mil because they suck.

Public employee pensions are a huge and growing problem. It’s fun to bitch and moan about Biden, but somewhere along the line we should start thinking about how to fix this problem.

Having served in the US Army and worked with a number of DA civilians, I can assure you this is certainly untrue. Many of them were dumb as frick. Hell one a-hole kept getting caught browsing porn at work yet they couldn't let him go. Nasty motherfricker too.

In fact, I'll add to this...
When I was a bright eyed and bushy tailed PFC at Fort Polk, we had a GS-7 in our section. Now, a GS-7 is basically a low level government employee but some idiots in my chain of command tried to equate it to being an E-7.
This woman's office smelled of funk and unwashed vagina. It was that bad. I hated even going near it. Because I was basically "the computer guy" being the only one with an MOS in information systems, she asks me to type out a document one day. A buddy of mine said frick that, you shouldn't do it and I agreed. I basically told her I wasn't her secretary. That nearly started a huge incident and my first line had to set me aside. Even he agreed he didn't like dealing with her and having to go into her nasty smelly office.
Fast forward a few years later at Bragg there was one individual (same guy I mentioned who browsed porn on NIPR all the time) who decided to print out hundreds of copies of a visa application for his mail-order bride. When I inquired about this and how it was a waste of resources I was told to keep quiet. Karma did somehow had a hand in this as the guy's new bride came to the US. The following weekend he was hospitalized for a heart attack and never saw him again. He didn't die, but in hindsight I figured he continued to be on the government dole.
