I am white. Not once have I EVER, or would I EVER... consider just going for a jog in a black part of town, and, maybe just checking out a house being built, or looking on carports. This isn't reality when people think this guy was just innocently making his way thru this area.
For the record, I don't go for jogs in my own neighborhood wearing boots.
I also don't steal shiat, and "crimes of opportunity" are never a problem for me, unless we are talking about speeding or maybe sometimes I get a sip from my fountain drink and top it off before putting the lid on.
All these people getting killed while committing a crime, or LOOKING to commit a crime... it's insanity that this is so easily overlooked by people, as if it's the property owner's fault for having shiat worth stealing.
That girl shouldn't have worn that dress, it wasn't rape... it was a crime of opportunity.

Just out of curiosity, do they think white people are running around doing whatever they want without fear of being killed? Hell, I know plenty of people that won’t go running outside their homes in “nice neighborhoods” out of fear of assault, robbery and murder.

Most people think of a "construction site" as being somewhat larger and more commercial. I considered using "new home under construction," but discarded it as unwieldy. I should have remembered that SOMEONE here will find SOMETHING to bitch about, no matter the phrasing that one chooses.
