It’s a complicated question.
For example, China guarantees freedom of speech to citizens in a constitution. Obviously, this is a complete joke. Similarly, freedom of speech is a right preserved in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and is granted formal recognition by almost all nations. Again, this formal declaration is worthless, not worth the paper upon which it is printed.
Conversely, the UK has no written guarantee of freedom of speech in law. Nonetheless, the Brits have more freedom of speech than those of the previously mentioned entities, although the freedom can and is limited in the name of public interest.
When you survey the people, Americans and South Americans believe the most passionately about free speech, followed by Canadians and Europeans, then Africans and Middle Easterners, and finally Far East Asians.
In Europe, Poland, Hungary, Norway, and Finland guarantee freedom of speech and have solid records in doing so.

A window into the future of America.
In America, if we post a wrongthink post on Twitter or Facebook, we only get banned from the platforms and run the risk of losing our jobs and receiving death threats. If Democrats get full power.. we'll also be imprisoned for wrongthink posts.
Some Democrat congressmen already float around the idea of arresting people who criticize them.

quote:Yeah, getting arrested for social media posts, etc. does seem to be a natural progression from being disarmed. Just look at Europe.
This is the purpose of the 2A

The only thing Australia gets right is they use the word "count" liberally. Our dear lead Chicken does not! SAD!
