Im not concerned with how Louisiana backs themselves into a corner. Have more options of production.

My tax dollars is all I care about and I thought we were done with this kind of white knighting.

Tax dollars being spent for long-term access to billions of barrels of oil, just a short trip across the GoA away from us is smart no matter how you slice it.

We aren't just giving them money as we have done in the past with other aid for countries. We are securing one of the largest deposits of oil in the world and also keeping Russia and China from accessing it. You are looking at it with a very narrow mind.

The important thing here is that Trump pal Paul Singer got to buy Citgo, which Maduro was blocking. Before donating millions to the anti-Massie campaign.

"Dear God, thank you for causing that earthquake in Venezuela, but now can you take care of all the people you screwed with it?"

Something tells me they do not need my prayers, because they are about to get my money.

None of which the average American will benefit from in any great amount.

Our private oil companies producing Venezuelan oil for shipment to overseas countries is not much different from foreign oil companies producing Venzuelan oil for overseas countries.

To the average citizen that is.

Iran needs to immediately understand that it's bargaining time just ran out. President Trump has something far more important to devote his time and military to. The humanitarian need in our hemisphere is paramount. The builder and sympathetic nature will take over his thoughts. Iran just became an also ran and best get the best deal it can, while it can.

Iran doesn’t give two shits about Trump’s priorities.

10,000 to 100,000 deaths... I would have expected most compassionate comments on this thread then what I am seeing.

Are you being purposely obtuse, or are you ignorant of the fact that multiple downstream jobs rely on imported oil?

Maybe you don't understand your own industry

After seeing footage of those collapsing highrise apartments, those casualty estimates sound horrifyingly plausible.

If Trump sends aid he is damned, if he doesn't he is damned. It is very geo political.

At least he won’t steal their children like what Hildabeast did in Haiti.
