JD seems lab grown. The comp is Obama. The Obama of the right, per the article in the OP
If you can’t see these similarities and it give you pause you’re as bad as the leftist sheep who worship Obama. I love Vance but I’d be lying if this doesn’t give me concern.
Peter Theil is a known globalist who basically runs the bilderbergs now. He’s a technocrat and the most powerful one along with Elon. He believes in open borders and a global government.
He and Elon together would be close to unstoppable and though I like both of them I don’t know I’d want either making the decisions.
He handpicked Vance with the recommendation of Vivek out of Yale and spent years shaping him to be HIS GUY.
This should give everyone pause.
Does Vance do as the people or person who gave him everything wishes??
Or does he follow his gut and roots and do what he wants and believes is right?
The only person who knows is him.

That's my main concern about Vance. He seems to be a construction of tech oligarchs to do their bidding. And their bidding isn't exactly in line with the desires of the general population or humanity for that matter.
We don’t agree on much but you could very easily be right about this. I have the same concerns

Many people reading that paragraph are familiar with the life story of Barack Hussien Obama. However, that paragraph is not describing Obama, that paragraph describes James Donald Bowman, aka J.D. Vance.
On one side, we have an emotionally constructed political figure for the left. On the other side, we see an emotionally constructed political figure for the right. Each person, each emotional narrative, carrying the specific nuances to appeal to their audience; both follow the same playbook.
J.D. Vance was born James Donald Bowman in Middletown, Ohio (August 2, 1984). He then changed his name to James David Bowman. He then changed his name to James David Hamel. Eventually, in 2014, notably after Yale Law School (class of 2013, and after marrying his wife Usha, now age 30, he changed his name to write a book.
It was 2014, that’s when J.D. Vance was born.
There is something to be said for those who get Ivy League law degrees. In this case, I'm okay with it. Of course the opposition research for 2028 is just getting started. I was wondering when it would.

All that to say, I am a big advocate that in the damage in our urban ghettos (and, increasingly, in the rural white areas Vance descibes) the biggest factor in the decay is the lack of an intact family with a father in the house. It’s pretty much the main point of his book.
Don’t have kids before you get married.
If you get married, take the vows seriously and live up to them when the going gets rough.
Don’t have kids you can’t support financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
All this x1000.
I realize how serious those vows are after being married for a few years and a little kid around. You realize everybody but the 1pct are a house of cards so to speak - an absentee spouse is a recipe for disaster with kids, as is philandering.

I have never liked his fake Appalachia shtick.
As someone from Appalachia, he isn’t a hillbilly.
Nothing fake about it. He explains his connections to Appalachia very clearly in his book.

I support a 100% moratorium on all immigration.
You will never see that because no one with sense thinks that’s a good idea.

I 100% support mass deportation.
What is “mass deportation”? How many per year for how many years?
Trump might be able to ramp up to a million per year for 2026, 27 and 28. I can’t see any more than that without putting too big a drag on the economy.
